Friends, in today’s article I am going to tell you about the worst rules of North Korea. Do you know that until some time ago, the people of North Korea did not know that burger is a food item. There is no such thing as Pepsi and Coca Cola in the general stores of this country. Whereas Kim Jong Un does restaurant business all over the world.
5) Fast Foods
Every country has thousands of local cafeterias in which fast food is available. But North Korea is 100 years behind in this matter as well. There was no branch of KFC, McDonalds, pizza and burger here. The people of North Korea did not even know what a burger is.
In 2009, a businessman from Singapore opened a cafeteria in North Korea by making Kim Jong Un an equal partner. When this cafeteria was built and local workers were to be hired, the people there did not know what a burger is, so first they were taught to make a burger, then the people there came to know that it is also a food item. But after seeing the burger here, you would prefer to stay hungry.
4) Grocery Stores
Friends, grocery stores are present in every country of the world. There are some things that are found in general stores of any country of the world like Pepsi, Coca Cola, Lays Chips, Biscuits and Dairy Milk Chocolate. These are such products that are found in every store, even if that shop is in a village. But the people of North Korea do not know anything about any of these things. Kim Jung Un has banned all these things.
You will not see any outside thing in the general stores of North Korea, rather all the products are local. The surprising thing is that despite technology being so common, in North Korea, registers and pens are used to make bills and even to calculate the price of things, old calculators are used. Not only this, when a person goes to a store here, even if he has to buy a bottle of water, the sales lady of the store is always after him.
3) Shopping Malls
Friends, in whichever area you all live, there must be some shopping mall there. Well, till the year 2000, the people of North Korea did not know anything about shopping malls. I am not saying this but it has been told in a report of Associated Press. There was no concept of malls in North Korea. Even rich people did not know anything about shopping malls, then Kim Jong ordered to build a shopping mall in the city so that the rich people of the country can experience shopping.
This shopping mall was opened in 2012. This mall is 100% owned by Kim Jong and is run by the government. Its management is handled by high ranking military generals. Poor people are not allowed to come to this mall. Only the richest people of the city shop here.
2) Restaurants
Friends, you will be shocked to hear the fact of North Korea that I am going to tell you about now. Kim Jon has a restaurant named Ping Yan Restaurant. This restaurant has branches in North Korea but you will not believe that this restaurant has 130 branches all over the world. In which not only the food is from North Korea but all the workers working there are also North Koreans. Traditional food of North Korea is served in these restaurants and drinks are also brought from this country. You will be surprised to know that Kim Jon generates a revenue of 10 million dollars every year from these restaurants.
In these restaurants of Kim Jon, special people of the country are sent to other countries to work. These North Korean workers cannot run away from their restaurant even if they want to because their family is kept in North Korea and these workers are also kept under special surveillance. If they try to escape, their families will be killed.
1) Street food
Friends, if we talk about street food, I don’t think anyone can compete with Pakistan and India in this matter. Literally, there are so many street food items in Pakistan and India that it is difficult to even count them. But do you know what street food in North Korea is like?
Well, there are no special options for street food in North Korea. First of all, such food stalls are seen only in the capital of North Korea. Fried eggs, sandwiches, noodles and such simple things are available in them. Normally when we watch street food videos, we see a lot of people near the food stalls, but no one is seen anywhere eating street food in North Korea.
